The tattoo artist journey starts by asking yourself a simple question: "Is this really what I want, and am I ready to practise, repeat and keep improving until I achieve the best results?" You don’t need perfect drawing skills, but creativity, a steady hand, dedication and attention to detail. Tattooing requires precision, patience and commitment, as there is no room for mistakes on the skin.
No, we don’t currently offer apprenticeships. We offer professional tattoo courses.
We offer professional tattoo courses for beginners and advanced artists, providing a strong foundation to develop your skills, covering tattoo techniques, health and safety, hygiene and aftercare, and helping you work towards becoming a successful tattoo artist.
Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive a certificate confirming your achievement.
Our courses are individual and focused on you. With one-to-one training, we adapt the course to your level, learning pace and progress, giving you personalised guidance and the attention you need to develop your skills.
Tattoo training in England is not currently governed by a mandatory, government-regulated accreditation system. This means private academies and studios can offer tattoo training without being required to hold specific government accreditation. We have researched the available accreditation options and found that some organisations offer accreditation through a commercial membership or fee structure rather than independently assessing the quality of the training. For this reason, we choose to focus on the quality of our training, practical experience and individual attention, rather than simply paying for an accreditation. Our courses are designed to give you practical tattoo training alongside essential knowledge of health, safety, hygiene and aftercare.
Please feel free to contact us at knowhowtattoo@gmail.com and we’ll be happy to help.
